I'm Greg. My book, The Penguins of Doom, is a middle-grade--so I'm technically an MG rather than a YA. My author website is gfishbone.com.

I'm an independent voter and a political moderate. Going into primary season in January, Senator Obama was my pick from among the Democratic field while Senator McCain was my favorite on the Republican side. Neither was the frontrunner at the time. Obama was 100 superdelagates behind Senator Clinton even before the first caucus in Iowa, while McCain's campaign was out of funds and running on fumes. Both had a difficult path to earn their party's nomination against overwhelming odds, and now I find myself having to choose the greater of two well-qualified candidates I actually like, rather than the "lesser of two weasels" we usually get on our ballots. It's so refreshing!

After the debates, I'm leaning toward Obama, but whoever wins will be a huge improvement over our long national nightmare the last eight years.
